Making Furniture For Blythe

I used THESE - TWO youtube videos by My Froggy Stuff (LOVE her videos - SO creative) as my inspiration to create my own love seat/sofa using what I already had around the house - 2 different kinds of sponges (platform, seat and arms), vintage fabric (to cover and for cushions), buttons (to decorate) and cardboard to neatly finish the back of the love seat. Tools - scissors, ruler, glue gun , sewing machine, poly fil and needle and thread. It's a bit boxy looking, but I don't think it's a bad first try at making furniture for Blythe dolls. And here's another video on how to make a sofa from things you have around the house.

Felt Skirt For Blythe

I found this really easy mini skirt to make for your Blythe doll out of felt and this is my version of it. My girl, Margo, is modeling it and her doggie Chico waits patiently to go for a walk. I used a couple of snaps in the back instead of the velcro. Mine was sewn using just a needle and thread, no machine. As always, click a pic to see more detail. You can find the pattern HERE.

I also made a cute, little love seat tonight out of sponges, fabric, cardboard, and buttons using my glue gun and my sewing machine. I'll post a picture of it soon along with the youtube video that inspired me to try making one. It was one of those everything went perfect projects. I do sometimes have those.

Coming Soon to kittyred's Blytique

I'm hoping to get a dress similar to this one listed soon...  Such a pretty fabric for Spring.  I think this is a vintage fabric that I got from my mom's stash.  It has a lace trimmed hem with bead accents on the bodice.  Modeled by CC (Cotton Candy) - my CCE Blythe clone from Australia.
